First of all, I really love your podcast! Thank you so much for all the advice! And this is a great episode.
I am not sure if this is the right place to do it, but I am new in the business and have some – maybe silly – questions.
First, do you list the agencies that you work with on your resume?
And how do you display your work in a portfolio, resume, or website, when it is not something like a book or a video where you could add a picture. Do you include a sample of your translation or only the title?
And when in your career does it make sense to become a member of an association? I have not studied a whole degree in translation and it seems that one needs several years of work experience before one can become part of them?
And should the association be in the country where you live or in the country where your native language is spoken? For example, I am German and will, in most cases, translate into German, but I live in Australia.
