Dear Eve, Corinne and Michelle,
Thanks for holding this free conference call, this is really great!
I have been freelancing part-time since Oct 2010 (I also have a full-time job) and I will be translating full-time in a few months.
I have only worked with agencies so far because it was more convenient for me, though I am planning to find direct clients very soon.
I have identified 2-3 potential direct clients whose communications in my language do not read very well or do justice to their brand.
My question is two-fold: should I try and approach their French office or the US or UK one? And how can spot the fact that I have noticed their French communication could be improved and offer my services, without sounding arrogant?
Thanks a lot for your answer.
Kind regards,
Nelia Fahloun
Hi,
I am a part time freelance translator for a while but I need more qualification on translation tools and tm. What are the best programs (cost-benefit), courses (preferably online) for me and how long do you think it takes to get adequate training in these specific areas of translation?
Thanks for your help and hope to be able to make it to your free seminar.
Verónica
Hi, Eve, Corinne, Michelle,
Thank you for holding this conference call, I hope it is very successful.
My question pertains to translation/localization management: How do you see the profession of translation/localization management evolve in the next five years?
Thanks,
Dierk
